One of my friend told me that I can spend a day to visit the whole town. As it is really a small town, so I decided to pay a visit with my family when we are on our way to Penang. Basically I was following this map from kkangsarheritage.blogspot.com:
I did not visited all the spots. The 1st rubber tree is a MUST VISIT spot, so to the Royal Museum.
If you see this…it means you are confirm in the royal town…hahahah…
The Royal Museum – closed for renovation. This palace was built without a nail. It was a temporarily stay place for the Sultan while waiting for Iskandariah Palace to be completed.
MCKK – the 1st Malay College was established at 5th Jan 1905
Nearby the MCKK, you will see the 1st rubber tree in Malaysia.
Sultan Azlan Shah Palace – a museum that you may want to visit. It’s all about Sultan Azlan Shah.
And not forget to recommend this kopitiam, you may want to try it out. It’s name Restaurant Yat Lai (most bloggers wrote as Yut Loy). They famous with their hand-made pau and some said to be their Hailamese Chicken Chop. The prices are not cheap, cost around RM6.50 – RM19 and the pau cost around RM1.70 – RM2/piece. Because we were from the bakery generation, so, the pau attracts us more.
Redbean and Kaya pau. They claimed that they use duck egg to cook the kaya. Taste different but delicious.
We did tried some of their rice. Very home cook taste.
