My 1st time visits to Bon Odori.  My younger sis was a big fans of Japanese stuff, eg. comic, anime, festival…and she’s good in Japanese language too!  Last year she went to this festival with her friend and brought back lots of yummy looking tit-bits.  Although it was a little bit tasteless, so, this year I decided to go with her.  Most of the visitors are Japanese families.  Most of the sellers are Japanese too, but they can speak english or maybe some chinese.  So no worry about the language when you want to buy some foods from them.  It was so amazing, the whole environment is like you are really in the Japanese air.

There’re lots of Japanese foods that we seldom see from the markets eg. kinoko ice cream from Horio, anko dango, Kyoto special summer ice, etc.  The only that really attracts me was the Japanese cucumber.  Sounds nothing special, but it really looks big…fat juicy and dip with some special sources.  I chose the Sour Plum source and it makes the whole cucumber so…. WOOAAAAOOOO!!!
